Jazz at the Memo Presents
A Tribute to John Coltrane, feat. The Four Strangers Quartet
The Four Strangers Quartet make their Jazz at the Memo debut with an exploration of compositions by John Coltrane. Some are well-known and others seldom heard, but each represents an aspect of the master’s enormous contribution to the musical language and art form of jazz. Through the conceptual lens of four life-long musicians and the via the unusual absence of a chordal instrument for most tunes, these renditions promise to be as adventurous as they were originally.
Featuring Tim McCord (saxophone, piano), John Zappa (trumpet), Michael Sharfe (bass) and Dan Dorff (drums)
Doors at 6:30p, Show 7:00 – 9:00p
